Delays reported in 3-vehicle collision on I-45 NB near TX-242
THE WOODLANDS, TX – Emergency crews responded to a major collision along the interstate in south-central Montgomery County Monday morning, reports KHOU 11.
The multi-vehicle accident occurred shortly after 7 a.m. on the northbound side of I-45 near TX-242 in The Woodlands. This is about 30 miles northwest of Houston.
Police haven’t shared any details about the crash except to say that an 18-wheeler and two passenger cars were involved.
It’s not yet clear if anyone sustained injuries in the collision.
Officials closed multiple lanes of I-45 northbound for several hours Monday while teams assessed the victims, gathered evidence, and worked to clear the scene. All lanes re-opened by around noon.
