Deputy fatally struck by driver near Fairfield Village
CYPRESS, TX – A driver struck and killed a Harris County sheriff’s deputy who was responding to a wreck at TX 99 and Cumberland Ridge Dr on April 23, according to ABC 13.
John H. Coddou, 50, was assisting at the crash site when a driver hit him.
Following the collision, rescue crews flew Coddou to an area hospital, where he died.
Officials have not released the name of the driver who hit Coddou or information on what led up to the incident.
Coddou had served with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office since 2003.
