Driver crashes into home in Galveston
GALVESTON, TX – A driver slammed into a home near Winnie St and 8th St while eluding police on Sunday, according to Click 2 Houston.
Officers with the Galveston Police Department attempted to pull the driver over for traffic violations when he sped off around Broadway Ave J and Seawall Blvd before crashing into the home.
Rescue crews transported the driver to an area hospital for evaluation. He was then arrested. A female passenger inside the vehicle was not hurt in the collision.
Authorities are investigating to find out if the driver was impaired.
