Driver crashes into HPD patrol vehicle near Alief
HOUSTON, TX – Two people were hurt when a driver collided with a Houston Police Department patrol car at Bissonnet St and S Kirkwood Rd on Tuesday, according to Click 2 Houston.
An HPD officer was heading west on Bissonnet St and was about to perform a traffic stop on another vehicle when a driver T-boned the patrol vehicle at the intersection around 10 p.m.
Rescue crews transported the driver of the car who crashed into the patrol car and the passenger from the patrol car to an area hospital with minor injuries. The officer driving the patrol car was not hurt in the collision.
It is unclear which driver is at fault for the collision.
The Houston Police Department is investigating the incident.
