Driver dies after rear-ending semi-truck on Beaumont Hwy
HOUSTON, TX – A driver died after colliding with a semi-truck on the 13300 block of Beaumont Highway on Friday, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Jose David Magallon was driving a silver 2015 Nissan Altima west on Beaumont Hwy when he struck the rear of a semi-truck around 6:22 a.m. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
Rescue crews transported Magallon to an area hospital with injuries to his chest and face. He died at the hospital.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the incident.
