Driver dies after SUV strikes tree off S Post Oak Rd in SW Houston
HOUSTON, TX — A single-vehicle collision early Monday, February 5, in southwest Houston claimed the life of a 29-year-old woman, according to the Houston Police Department.
The wreck was reported in the 10800 block of South Post Oak Road at around 2:10 a.m.
An early investigation by the HPD’s Vehicular Crimes Division found that the woman was traveling southbound in a white Nissan Kicks when, for reasons still unclear, the SUV veered into the median and collided with a tree.
Paramedics with the Houston Fire Department rushed the woman to Ben Taub General Hospital where she died from her injuries, confirmed officials.
No other injuries were reported, and no other vehicles were involved.
