Driver fatally collides with another vehicle on N Main St
HOUSTON, TX – According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, a driver fatally collided with another vehicle on the 6200 block of N Main St on Friday.
Jannine McConnon was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Impala south on N Main St when she stopped to make a left turn onto a private driveway at 6213 N Main St.
Kyle Dartez was operating a 2012 Ford F-250 south on N Main St when he rear-ended McConnon around 3 p.m. The collision sent McConnon’s vehicle southwest across two lanes before crashing into a raised concrete curb.
Rescue crews pronounced McConnon dead at the scene.
Following the collision, Dartex remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Authorities do not believe impairment played a role in the collision.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the incident.
