Driver fatally collides with man near Hermann Park

HOUSTON, TX – According to the Houston Police Department, a driver struck and killed a man on the South Freeway near North MacGregor Way Monday night.

The driver of a black GMC Yukon was heading south when they hit the victim as he was running across the freeway around 8:35 p.m.

First responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Authorities questioned and released the driver. Police do not believe impairment was a factor.
