Driver fatally collides with motorcyclist near Atascocita Trace
HOUSTON, TX – A driver struck and killed a motorcyclist near Atascocita Road and Atascocita Bend Drive on Monday morning, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
A 57-year-old woman was driving a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee west on Atascocita Road as a 29-year-old man was riding a 2007 Yamaha east.
The woman tried to turn left onto southbound Atascocita Bend Drive when the motorcyclist hit the front passenger’s side of the Jeep around 5:07 a.m.
First responders pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene and transported the Jeep driver to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office’s Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the incident.
