Driver fatally collides with pedestrian on Katy Fwy
HOUSTON, TX – According to the Houston Police Department, a driver struck and killed a pedestrian on the 15400 block of Katy Fwy on Sunday.
A 40-year-old woman was driving a silver Toyota Camry east on the Katy Fwy when she hit a man who was in a moving lane of traffic around 6:30 a.m.
Rescue crews pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. They transported the driver and her female passenger to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities do not believe impairment was a factor in the collision.
The HPD’s Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the incident.
