Driver fatally collides with pedestrian on Wirt Road
HOUSTON, TX – A driver struck and killed a pedestrian on the 2000 block of Wirt Road on April 5, according to the Houston Police Department.
The driver of a green Ford F-150 pickup truck was heading north on Wirt Road when they hit a pedestrian who had stepped off the sidewalk into the roadway around 5:15 p.m.
First responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Following the wreck, the driver remained at the scene.
Officials have not released the victim’s name.
The HPD Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the incident.
