Driver fatally collides with power pole, church near Veterans Memorial Park
HOUSTON, TX – According to KHOU, a driver died following a single-vehicle collision on Hardy Toll Rd near Tidwell Lane on Sunday.
A pickup truck driver was heading north on Hardy Toll Rd and weaving in and out of traffic around 9 p.m. when he strayed off the road and hit a mailbox before coming to rest on its side on the church. The driver was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.
Rescue crews pronounced the driver dead at the scene.
Following the collision, crews closed down the area to investigate the collision.
Officials have not released the driver’s name.
The Houston Police Department is investigating the incident.
