Driver fatally collides with semi-truck in downtown Houston
HOUSTON, TX – A driver died following a collision with a semi-truck on the Eastex Freeway northbound near Interstate 10 early Tuesday morning, according to Click 2 Houston.
A 19-year-old man was driving a tan Cadillac CT4 north on the Eastex freeway when he hit a concrete divider before entering oncoming traffic and colliding with a Volvo semi-truck around 3:05 a.m.
The 19-year-old man was thrown from the Cadillac in the collision. First responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
A 19-year-old woman and a 4-year-old girl from the Cadillac were hospitalized in stable condition.
It is unclear if the semi-truck driver was hurt in the crash.
