Driver fleeing from police crashes into 2 rideshare vehicles near Hyde Park

HOUSTON, TX – According to Click 2 Houston, eight people were injured when a driver fleeing from police slammed into two rideshare vehicles near Waugh Drive and West Gray Street early Sunday morning.

The crash occurred around 2 a.m. The suspect was thrown from his vehicle.

First responders extricated six people from a minivan. They transported eight people in total to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials have not released details on how the pursuit began or what charges the suspect will be facing.
