Driver hits 2-year-old boy in Cleveland
CLEVELAND, TX – According to Click 2 Houston, a two-year-old boy was hurt in a pedestrian collision in Cleveland on Sunday.
A relative ran over the boy in a driveway on the 300 block of Road 3548.
The boy’s parents were transporting the boy to an area hospital when they saw a Liberty County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle and flagged it down for help.
The deputy radioed for EMS assistance. Paramedics transported the boy and his mother to HCA Cleveland Hospital. Once there, hospital staff began life-saving efforts and arranged for the boy to be airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. He was taken into surgery at the hospital.
The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
