Driver hospitalized after slamming into parked semi on N Freeway
HOUSTON, TX- A pickup truck driver was hospitalized after his car crashed into a semi and caught on fire on I-45 on Dec. 25th, KHOU11 Staff reports.
The incident occurred on West Gulf Bank Rd and I-45 when the driver drove into a semi that was parked.
When the vehicles crashed, the pickup caught on fire. Someone was able to extinguish it.
When the Houston Fire Department arrived, they had to cut off all the doors of the pickup to extract the driver. The person was then airlifted to a hospital.
The semitruck driver did not sustain any injuries.
This accident is currently under investigation.
