Driver hurt after slamming into deputy’s vehicle on Texas 249 in northwest Houston

HOUSTON, TX –  According to Click 2 Houston, a driver was hurt when she slammed into the back of a a deputy’s patrol vehicle at northbound Texas 249 and Jones Road on Saturday.

A Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputy was outside of his vehicle responding to a disabled vehicle when a female driver collided with the back of the patrol car Saturday afternoon.

First responders transported the driver to an area hospital in critical condition. The deputy was not hurt in the collision.

Following the crash, crews shut down the area to process the scene. It was reopened at 5:25 p.m.
