Driver sought after fatal hit-and-run crash near Stafford parking lot
FORT BEND COUNTY, TX — A 43-year-old man died Sunday, September 10, following a hit-and-run collision in Stafford that left another person injured, according to KHOU11.
Local police said the fatal incident occurred in the 13100 block of Murphy Road at Mula Road and Greenbriar Drive, at about 6:00 a.m.
Preliminary details indicate the victim, Cecil George, a life-long local resident, was traveling in a vehicle that was leaving a nearby parking lot when it was struck by another car.
The driver of the striking car then continued away from the scene without stopping to render aid.
George succumbed to injuries suffered in the crash, confirmed officials. His older brother, who was traveling with him at the time, survived the collision with minor injuries.
Authorities said the suspect driver, since identified as 20-year-old Jose Antonio Pina Tenorio, remains at large.
At this time, an investigation and a search for Pina Tenorio remain ongoing.
