Driver strikes, kills pedestrian on North Freeway near Greater Greenspoint
HOUSTON, TX – A driver fatally collided with a man on the 11300 block of North Fwy on Monday, according to the Houston Police Department.
A 42-year-old man was driving a white Dodge Ram south on North Fwy when he hit a 51-year-old man who was walking on the Fwy around 11:30 p.m.
Rescue crews pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Following the collision, the driver and his two passengers stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
Authorities determined the driver was not impaired and released him.
Officials have not released the victim’s name.
The HPD Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the incident.
