Early-morning crash on Hwy 183 causes closures and traffic delays

AUSTIN, TX – An accident on Highway 183 caused traffic delays and road closures early this morning, according to the Texas Department of Transportation Austin (TxDOT).

The accident occurred near the Walnut Creek Business Park on southbound US-183, near Highway 290 (Manor Expressway), at about 12:35 a.m.

Authorities closed the southbound lanes of the highway as they worked the accident. Drivers were asked to detour to the Hwy 183 frontage road in the meanwhile.

It is unclear what led to the crash or if anyone was hurt as a result.
