Eight-vehicle wreck slows Thursday traffic in north Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Eight vehicles were involved in a multi-car crash Thursday morning on Grand Parkway North, reports CW39.

Officials say the wreck happened near FM 2920 in north Harris County at about 7 a.m. Reports indicate that the crash blocked part of the eastbound side of the highway. Two travel lanes and the inside shoulder were unavailable for a time.

First responders arrived at the scene shortly after the collision. Crews worked to manage traffic and clear the roadway. There were no injuries reported, and officials have not identified any of the drivers involved in the collision.

Authorities cleared and reopened the affected lanes by 7:47 a.m. However, traffic was still congested after crews cleared the area.

Officials have not clarified what might have caused the wreck.
