Elderly woman injured in 2-car crash on TX-19 near Trinity

TRINITY CO., TX – A 69-year-old woman sustained injuries last Tuesday in a two-vehicle crash along the highway in southwestern Trinity County, reports East Texas News.

The accident occurred just after 12:30 p.m. on TX-19 south of FM 1893. This is northwest of Trinity, south of Barnes Switch, and about 85 or 90 miles north of Houston.

Police say that a Chevy Silverado collided with a northbound Ford Edge when the driver of the Chevy neglected to yield right of way while turning out of a private drive on TX-19.

Medics transported the driver of the Ford, identified as Dorthy Willis of Crockett, to an area hospital with non-critical injuries.

The driver of the Chevy was not hurt in the accident.

A full investigation is underway.
