EMS crews called to hit-and-run on Edgebrook Dr in SE Houston
HOUSTON, TX — A hit-and-run crash was reported late Friday morning near the Gulf Freeway in southeast Houston’s Edgebrook neighborhood, according to the City of Houston Active Incidents page.
The incident occurred at 1195 Edgebrook Drive, the address for the Chevron gas station just east of the Gulf Freeway’s (Interstate 45) inbound entrance ramp. Dispatchers first received the call at 11:48 a.m.
Few details have been provided, but Houston Police and Fire Department crews responded to the scene. Officials indicated a “major” collision in which at least one party failed to stop and render aid (“FSRA”).
The crash resulted in an “EMS event,” suggesting injuries to at least one person.
As of this writing, authorities have not released a description of the fleeing vehicle and/or suspect.
