EMS crews respond to hit-and-run on I-10 WB in Spring Branch East area
HOUSTON, TX — Authorities were called to a hit-and-run collision Thursday afternoon on Interstate 10 in northwest Houston, according to the City of Houston Active Incidents page.
The incident was reported on the outbound (westbound) lanes at North Post Oak Road, in the city’s Spring Branch East area. Houston police, firefighters, and EMS personnel responded to the scene at around 4:00 p.m.
Details remain limited, but dispatchers indicated a “major” crash in which one party failed to stop and render aid (“FSRA”). The wreck also resulted in an “EMS event,” suggesting potential injuries, though officials have not disclosed the conditions of those involved.
It was not immediately clear what caused the crash and how many vehicles were impacted.
