EMS personnel respond to major hit-and-run on Marinette Dr in Sharpstown area
HOUSTON, TX — A hit-and-run collision was reported as an EMS event Thursday afternoon near the PlazAmericas shopping mall in southwest Houston, according to the City of Houston Active Incidents page.
The accident happened at 6601 Marinette Drive, just west of the shopping center, in the city’s Sharpstown neighborhood. Houston police, firefighters, and EMS crews responded to the scene at around 1:17 p.m.
Very few details have been made available at this time, but dispatchers listed a “major” crash involving at least one party who failed to stop and render aid (“FSRA”).
At this time, officials have not disclosed the conditions of those involved and whether anyone had to be taken to a hospital.
