Fatal truck accident on I-35 near San Marcos

SAN MARCOS, TX – One man was killed when his pickup truck ran into the back of a semi-truck on Interstate 35 near San Marcos Tuesday night.

According to Fox 7 Austin, 70-year-old Breene Galen Greer was attempting to change lanes on I-35 near the River Ridge Parkway exit when he crashed into the back of the trailer. Greer was pronounced dead upon paramedics’ arrival at the scene.

Police say the incident occurred near a portion of I-35 where drivers were forced to the left-most lane due to work on the roadway. No charges have been filed in relation to the crash.
