Fatal pedestrian crash on I-10 at TX-8 under investigation
HOUSTON, TX – Houston Police are actively investigating a crash that claimed the life of a pedestrian Tuesday night on the freeway.
According to KHOU 11, the incident occurred just after 7 p.m. at the intersection of I-10, or the Katy Freeway, and Beltway 8. This is in the Spring Branch West area.
Authorities haven’t yet released the name of the victim, nor have they shared any details about the driver and vehicle involved in the accident.
It’s unclear if the pedestrian was walking in a designated crosswalk when the crash happened.
Officials closed the freeway for over two hours while emergency crews worked at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
