Fatalities reported in semi collision on Lloyd Bentsen Hwy
VICTORIA, TX – At least two people died Saturday in a multi-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck in central Victoria County, reports Crossroads Today.
Shortly after noon, emergency crews responded to a major accident on TX-59, or the Lloyd Bentsen Highway, near Hill Street in northeast Victoria, about two hours southwest of Houston.
Authorities haven’t yet commented on the cause or circumstances of the crash, nor have they released the names of the people who died.
Officials closed TX-59 in the area of the collision while crews attended to the victims and worked to clear the scene.
