Fatality reported in solo crash on Eastex Fwy at I-10 exit

HOUSTON, TX – A single-vehicle accident along the freeway east Houston killed one person on Sunday morning, reports Fox 26 Houston.

Shortly before 4 a.m., emergency teams responded the Eastex Freeway, or I-69, near the exit to I-10.l

Police are still working to determine what caused the driver of a pickup truck to crash into a barrier at the exit.

The driver sustained fatal injuries and has not yet been identified by authorities.

Officials closed the Eastex Freeway in the area of the collision for around four hours while crews gathered evidence and worked to clear the scene.
