FedEx semi-truck catches on fire on US 290 near Fairfield Village South

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A FedEx semi-truck driver was hurt after the vehicle caught on fire at inbound US 290 and Grand Parkway on Tuesday, according to ABC 13.

First responders transported the driver to an area hospital with minor injuries.

The incident caused significant backups on US 290.

Crews had the area cleared and reopened at 11:20 a.m.
