Fiery 18-wheeler crash closes part of Grand Parkway near Katy
HARRIS COUNTY, TX — Crews were dispatched to a big rig collision and fire Monday morning on the Grand Parkway near Katy, according to ABC13 Houston.
The accident happened on the 400 block of the northbound parkway and was first reported by Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez just before 8:00 a.m.
Little information regarding the cause of the wreck has been shared, but footage taken at the scene shows the 18-wheeler in a charred state after having caught on fire.
Crews were expected to remain on the scene for about four hours to attend to clearance.
No major injuries were immediately reported.
