Helmetless motorcyclist killed in crash near I-45 in Houston
HOUSTON, TX – A motorcyclist died after crashing Saturday night in a parking lot near 4400 North Freeway (I-45), per the Houston Police Department.
Houston police say the wreck happened around 9:45 p.m. on May 3 near North Interstate Highway 45. According to investigators, the rider was operating a white Kawasaki Ninja inside a private lot. Police say the rider was speeding through the parking area before he hit a curb.
The impact launched the rider from the motorcycle. Authorities say he did not have a helmet on at the time.
Houston Fire Department crews arrived and found the rider dead on location. Officials have not yet released his name pending notification of the man’s relatives.
Police continue to examine the circumstances of the crash.
