Hit-and-run crash involving semi-truck leaves man dead in southeast Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A semi-truck driver fled the scene after he collided with several vehicles and killed one person at Sam Houston Pkwy and Sabo Rd on Friday, according to KHOU.

The semi-truck driver rammed into the back of a Chevrolet Cavalier around 7 p.m. The 44-year-old driving the Cavalier died in the crash, and a 9-year-old boy inside the car was hurt.

The semi-truck driver then collided with a Lexus RX350, a white Chevrolet Tahoe, a Ford Crown Victoria, and a Toyota.

First responders transported a woman from the Lexus to an area hospital with critical injuries. The occupants of the other vehicles were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
