Hit-and-run driver fatally collides with woman pushing disabled car on Interstate 45
HOUSTON, TX – A hit-and-run driver killed a woman pushing her disabled car on the 9300 block of Interstate 45 Sunday morning, according to Click 2 Houston.
The driver of a green Toyota Tacoma struck the victim as she was pushing a disabled Chevrolet Malibu in a moving lane of traffic around 3:45 a.m. The Tacoma driver also hit a red Toyota RAV4.
Following the collision, the people inside the Tacoma fled the area on foot.
First responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene
Officials have not released the victim’s name.
Investigators urge anyone with information concerning the incident to contact the Hit and Run Unit of the Houston Police Department at 713-247-4065. Witnesses can also provide tips anonymously at 713-222-TIPS.
