Hit-and-run driver fatally strikes men near Jones, Mills

HOUSTON, TX – Two men were badly hurt Sunday in a hit-and-run collision along a major roadway in northwest Houston, reports KHOU 11.

The accident happened sometime before 9:20 p.m. on Jones Road near Mills Road, which is just south of Matzke Park in the Mill Ridge area.

Police say the victims were walking southbound on or along Jones Road when a southbound vehicle hit them.

The driver did not stop to render aid or to speak with police.

Medics transported both men to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Authorities indicate that the suspect may have been driving a silver vehicle.
