Hockley crash involving cement mix truck on Hempstead kills 1
HOCKLEY, TX – Police reported a fatality Wednesday morning in connection to a crash involving a commercial motor vehicle in the northwest suburbs.
According to KHOU 11, the accident occurred sometime before 7:15 a.m. on Hempstead Highway between Kermier Road and Hegar Road in Hockley, which is 40 miles from Houston.
Authorities are still working to determine what caused a passenger vehicle and a concrete mix truck to collide.
One person succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the accident. Their name has not yet been released to the public.
Drivers likely faced delays along Hempstead Highway while emergency crews worked at the scene.
