Houston crash on I-45 sends Harris County deputy to hospital

HOUSTON, TX – A Harris County deputy was hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday along I-45 in Houston, reports FOX 26 Houston.

The collision reportedly occurred at around 2 p.m. on the Gulf Freeway near Scott Street. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office says that the deputy’s vehicle and one other car were involved.

Emergency responders transported the deputy to the hospital for treatment after the crash. Officials say the deputy did not appear to be critically injured.

Authorities have not identified the deputy. They also have not said whether the other driver suffered injuries or explained what may have caused the crash.
