Houston PD arrests man after fatal crash that killed motorcyclist 

WEST HOUSTON, TX – Houston Police arrested a 48-year-old man for his involvement in a fatal crash that claimed the life of a motorcyclist in West Houston.

Police told Fox26Houston that the incident happened after 11:45 p.m. on Friday on the 7900th block of eastbound Westheimer Road near Stoney Brook Drive.

The 48-year-old man, who was identified as Peter Benamirouche, said he was driving a Lexus ES30. He abruptly changed several lanes to try to get over to the far left lane to do a U-turn when he collided with a motorcycle.

The motorcyclist fell from his bike, and EMS crews took him to a hospital, where he later died.

Police confirmed Benamirouche stayed at the scene, where they arrested him. He is being charged with negligent homicide.

Police are working to determine more details behind this fatal crash.
