Houston PD investigates fatal pedestrian crash near N Fwy, Main

HOUSTON, TX – Two days after Christmas, emergency crews responded to a fatal pedestrian crash along the freeway in north Houston.

According to Click 2 Houston, the collision occurred shortly before 6 p.m. on the southbound side of the North Freeway, or I-45, between Patton Street and Main Street.

Police say the victim was standing in a lane of travel on the freeway when a car hit them, killing them at the scene. The victim hasn’t been named publicly.

Authorities haven’t yet shared any details about the driver, nor have any charges been announced.

A full investigation is underway.
