Houston PD shuts down Yale St. after truck crashes into train overpass

HOUSTON, TX – Houston police temporarily shut down Yale Street near Washington Avenue on Monday after a truck crashed into a train overpass.

The truck collision happened around 9:30 p.m., and despite the nature of the crash, no injuries were reported, according to Fox26Houston.

Police redirected traffic toward a street in the Washington Avenue Coalition area as tow truck crews worked to stabilize and remove the truck from the scene and clean up debris left over from the crash.

Police have not confirmed the factors behind the truck collision or said whether they issued citations.
