HPD, HFD respond to crash on Beaumont Hwy in NE Houston
HOUSTON, TX — Authorities were called to a collision Thursday afternoon on the Beaumont Highway in northeast Houston, according to the City of Houston Active Incidents page.
The accident was reported at 10899 Beaumont Highway, near Oates Road, in the El Dorado/Oates Prairie area. Houston Police and Houston Fire Department crews responded to the scene shortly after 1:05 p.m.
Though little information has been released, dispatchers described the incident as a “major” but “nonfatal” crash.
It remains unclear at this time how many vehicles were involved or what led up to the wreck.
Neither agency has confirmed any serious injuries or hospital transports from the scene.
