HPD investigates semi rollover on I-10EB near McKee
HOUSTON, TX – Authorities closed the East Freeway in Houston early Wednesday after a crash involving an 18-wheeler, reports abc 13.
The accident occurred shortly after 3 a.m. near McKee Street, which is just north of downtown and southwest of Hennessy Park.
Very few details are available at this time. Police say that for unknown reasons, a semi-truck overturned along the eastbound side of the freeway.
It’s not yet clear if anyone inside of the semi sustained injuries in the crash.
Officials closed I-10 eastbound until around 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon while crews worked at the scene.
