HPD police car drives into stopped car on I-45
HOUSTON, TX- An HPD officer drove into a vehicle that was not moving on I-45 on Jan. 14th, KTRK reports.
At 4a.m., a suspected drunk driver fell asleep at the wheel. The vehicle was turned on but was not moving on I-45 near Patton Street.
The officer collided with this vehicle which was in the actual lane.
Neither driver had major injuries.
The driver who fell asleep was charged with DWI, and I-45 NB was closed for several hours because of the crash.
