HPD responds to fatal crash on I-45 NB in Houston’s Northside/Northline
HOUSTON, TX — At least one person lost their life after a crash early Monday on Interstate 45 in north Houston, according to the City of Houston Active Incidents page.
The fatal accident occurred in the 5100 block of outbound I-45 (North Freeway), near East Burress Street, in the city’s Northside/Northline area. Houston Police were dispatched to the scene at 4:15 a.m.
Details remain limited at this time, but officials described the event as a “major” collision that resulted in at least one fatality.
As of this writing, the HPD has not confirmed the number of those killed or injured.
Authorities have also not commented on the cause of the wreck or the number of vehicles involved.
