Injuries reported in fiery 2-car crash at TX-249, Cordoba
HOUSTON, TX – Two adults sustained injuries Thursday night in a two-vehicle collision in northwest Houston, reports Click 2 Houston.
Emergency crews responded to fiery crash shortly before 9 p.m. at the intersection of TX-249, or West Mount Houston Road, and Cordoba Drive. This is just northeast of Hill Elementary School in the Granada area.
Police haven’t yet determined the cause of the accident, which involved two sedans and at least five people, including two children.
Two adults required hospitalization after they were extricated from one of the vehicles. They were admitted in stable condition with unknown injuries.
Two children from the same vehicle did not sustain injuries in the collision.
The second car involved in the crash, described as a white sedan, caught fire upon impact. It’s unclear how many people were in the car at the time of the accident, but officials say none of the occupants were hurt.
Officials closed lanes in the area of the collision while crews attended to the victims, put out the fire, and worked to clear the scene.
