Injuries reported in METRORail crash near San Jacinto, Wichita

HOUSTON, TX – One person was hurt Wednesday when a METRO train and a pickup truck collided in the Houston Museum District, reports Fox 26 Houston.

Just before noon, crews responded to an injury accident on the METRORail tracks near the intersection of San Jacinto Street and Wichita Street. This is just south of the Czech Center Museum.

Police say the collision occurred when the driver of the pickup truck turned in front of the train.

One train passenger required hospitalization for injuries sustained in the crash.

The driver of the pickup truck was not hurt in the accident.

A full investigation is underway.
