Juvenile, man injured in crash on Grand Pkwy near NE Katy
HARRIS COUNTY, TX — Two people, including a juvenile, were hospitalized Wednesday evening after a wreck on the Grand Parkway near northeast Katy, reports ABC13.
The collision took place on the southbound parkway (SH-99) at Franz Road. It was first reported by Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez at 4:19 p.m.
Officials have not detailed the cause of the crash, but an adult male victim was airlifted by Lifeflight to an area hospital, where he was listed in fair condition. A juvenile was transported by ground ambulance to a hospital with unspecified injuries. It was unclear how many vehicles were involved, but no one else was reported hurt.
Motorists were forced to divert off the freeway at the Franz Road exit during the crash clearance and initial investigation. The roadway was expected to reopen by 5:00 p.m.
