HOUSTON, TX – According to Click 2 Houston, authorities have arrested the man who allegedly abandoned his injured children following a wreck on Yale Street near West Tidwell Road on Tuesday.

Terrance Carr was driving a Ford Expedition when he slammed into a Chevrolet Avalanche at around 100 mph in a 35 mph zone. The collision sent the Avalanche crashing into a nearby bayou.

The Expedition was occupied by Carr, a woman, and four children

Following the collision, Carr fled the scene. Witnesses reported that Carr smelled like alcohol and told them he was running because he was wanted.

The people in the Avalanche remained at the scene and cooperated with police.

Authorities eventually located and arrested Carr. He is charged with two counts of abandoning a child with imminent danger.
