Man dies after rear-ending semi-truck on West Mount Houston Road
HOUSTON, TX – According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, a man died after colliding with a semi-truck on the 1800 block of West Mount Houston Road on Saturday.
Xavier Lamone Clinton was driving a 2019 Freightliner semi-truck that was hauling a 2017 Wabash trailer west in the number two lane. He was stopped at the intersection at a red light when a 2013 black Chevrolet Tahoe operated by Reginald Dewayne Crouch slammed into the back of the trailer around 5:21 p.m.
Emergency crews extricated Crouch from the Tahoe and performed CPR on him before pronouncing him dead at 7:01 a.m.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the incident.
