Man dies weeks following crash on Katy Freeway near Spring Branch West
HOUSTON, TX – According to the Houston Police Department, a man died on July 9 from injuries sustained in a collision on the 14200 block of westbound Interstate 10 Frontage Road on June 16.
A 59-year-old man was driving a silver Toyota Sienna west on Interstate 10 when one of his tires blew out. The driver lost control of the vehicle and slammed into a tree before rolling over around 2:45 a.m.
First responders transported the driver and an 89-year-old male passenger to area hospitals. The passenger died on July 9.
Officials have not released the victims’ names.
The Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the incident.
